Professor Clare Bradford School of Communication & Creative Arts, Deakin University, Australia

Topic  Across and Between: Transnational Childhoods in visual texts for the young

        Clare Bradford is Alfred Deakin Professor at Deakin University in Melbourne. Her books include Reading Race: Aboriginality in Australian Children’s Literature (2001), which won the ChLA Book Award and the IRSCL Award; Unsettling Narratives: Postcolonial Readings of Children’s Literature (2007); New World Orders in Contemporary Children’s Literature: Utopian Transformations (2009) (with Mallan, Stephens and McCallum); and The Middle Ages in Children’s Literature (2015). In 2009 the Trudeau Foundation in Canada awarded Clare the inaugural Visiting International Fellowship. From 2007 to 2011 she was President of the International Research Society for Children’s Literature. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Humanities.

Topic  走進台灣兒童圖畫書                       

        Sarah Ko studied philosophy in Fu-Jen Catholic University and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, specializing in philosophy for children and feminism. 

As a freelance writer, she wrote book reviews, translated over one hundred picture books and young adult novels, and organized workshops, forums and exhibitions relating to picture books. She is currently the consultant of Taiwan Children Reading Association and the Hong Kong based Feng Zikai Chinese Children’s Picture Book Award.

 

      台灣輔仁大學哲學碩士、美國南伊利諾大學哲學博士班研究生,研究領域為兒童哲學、女性主義。早期從事兒童哲學思考教育,後在臺灣師範大學、臺北教育大學教授幼兒文學、圖畫書賞析等課程。現從事童書翻譯、評論、出版諮詢、教學推廣,並擔任各項兒童文學獎評審,包括信誼幼兒文學獎、金鼎獎、臺北市立圖書館好書大家讀、豐子愷兒童圖畫書獎、三民繪本獎等。多次參與舉辦圖畫書創作研習坊、論壇及展覽,策劃2006年義大利波隆那書展臺灣館、2010年第一屆豐子愷兒童圖畫書獎巡迴展、2012與2014年臺北書展童書論壇等。翻譯兒童圖畫書及青少年小說逾百本。現為台灣兒童閱讀學會及豐子愷兒童圖畫書獎顧問。
